How do I share my screen on any platform using AnyDesk?

Screen sharing can be started by sending an outbound session request to your desired end point via their AnyDesk ID. Default session settings will always include screen sharing on all platforms.

If you would like to have a screen sharing only session, with no other active features, the end user can select these permissions in the acceptance window, or the Session initiator can create a custom client with restricted access.

Who can use screen sharing?

Anyone with an AnyDesk client is able to initiate screen sharing. The end user must manually accept the connection, otherwise for unattended access you can screen share an unattended device by using a pre-set password to gain access.

Screen sharing is beneficial to everyday users and businesses. From helping you mom to managing your business clients, screen sharing capabilities will make the process a breeze.

Is screen sharing safe?

Screen sharing is safe, so long as you ensure you know who is trying to connect to you! Ensure you know who the session requester is and what they need access to your computer for.

Do not accept any remote sessions you were not expecting, especially if they claim to be from a company you are not familiar with.

Additional safety is provided by using our access control list, unattended access passwords, and our regular end to end encryption that ensures every connection is secure.

Is screen sharing free?

Personal users are able to access screen sharing through our free AnyDesk download.

You will be able to access a limited amount of hours per month without having a paid account. This is great for one off sessions with a family member or to your own remote device while not at home. If you need a higher amount of screen sharing we offer a low cost personal use license for consumer use and one person businesses.
